The directory

Every converter, in one place

Pick a format pair below. Each tool has its own page with a detailed guide, a format comparison table and answers to common questions, so you can check the trade-offs before you convert.

The difference

Why convert files in the browser instead of uploading them?

Most online converters work by uploading your file to a server, queueing it, running a conversion job and sending the result back. That is four network round trips, a record of your file on someone else's disk, and a wait. Doing the work locally removes all of it.

01

Your files never leave this device

Every converter runs in your browser using the Canvas API and WebAssembly. There is no upload endpoint, no object storage bucket, and no server log that could ever hold your data.

02

Conversion in milliseconds, not minutes

Server-based converters have to upload, queue, process and download. Skipping all four is why a typical file here finishes in under half a second — you will see the timing on every conversion.

03

Open it once, keep using it offline

The tools are bundled into the page. Once loaded they work with no internet connection, which matters most on a plane, in a secure facility, or on a metered connection.

04

No account, no queue, no watermark

There is no sign-up, no daily limit, no premium tier and no branding stamped on your output. Convert as many files as you like.

How it works

Three steps, every time

Every tool on this site works the same way. The whole process takes a few seconds.

  1. Step 01

    Add your file

Drop a file onto the converter, or click to browse. You can select many files at once to convert a whole batch in one go.

  2. Step 02

    Tune the output

Adjust quality, scale, background colour or parsing options. The defaults are sensible, so most people can skip straight to the next step.

  3. Step 03

    Download the result

Download files individually, or grab the whole batch as a single ZIP archive. Nothing is kept after you close the tab.

What "your files never leave your device" actually means

This is a technical claim, so it is worth being precise about how it works. When you choose a file, the browser's File API hands the raw bytes to JavaScript running on your own machine. The image converters decode those bytes with an in-browser decoder, draw them to an off-screen canvas, and re-encode the result to a Blob — all inside the same tab. The only network requests this site makes are for the HTML, CSS and JavaScript needed to draw the page itself.

There is no analytics script recording your filenames, no telemetry payload, and no third-party embed that could observe what you do. Close the tab and everything the converter created is released from memory immediately.

  • No upload or download API calls carry your data
  • No cookies, fingerprinting or analytics scripts
  • No EXIF or GPS metadata is preserved in image output
  • Markdown output is sanitised against XSS before it is written
  • Object URLs are revoked as soon as they are no longer needed
  • Works offline once the page has loaded

Common questions

Frequently asked questions

Everything people usually ask before trusting a browser-based converter.

Are my files uploaded to a server?
No. Every conversion in this site runs entirely inside your web browser using JavaScript, the Canvas API and WebAssembly. When you select a file, the browser reads it directly from your disk and processes it in memory. There is no API call carrying your data, so there is nothing for us — or anyone else — to store.
Is there a limit on how many files I can convert?
There is no artificial limit on the number of files or conversions. The only real constraint is your device memory: individual files up to 150 MB are handled comfortably, and the converter warns you before attempting anything larger so you never lose work to a browser crash.
Will converting to a lossy format reduce my image quality?
It depends on the format. Converting PNG to JPG or WebP is lossy, which permanently discards some detail — though the quality slider lets you choose the trade-off, and visually identical results are typical at 85% or above. Converting HEIC or WebP to PNG is completely lossless, and converting SVG to PNG rasterises vector art at your chosen resolution without any quality loss at all.
Does it work on a phone or tablet?
Yes. Every tool is responsive and works on iOS, Android, tablets and desktops. On a phone you can pick a file straight from your camera roll or Files app, convert it, and save the result back to your device with the normal share sheet.
Do I need an internet connection?
Only the first time you open a page. After that the page is cached by your browser and the conversion code runs locally, so the tools keep working on a plane or on an unreliable connection.
Is it really free?
Yes, completely, with no account required and no premium tier. There are no server costs to pass on, which is the main reason we can keep it free without ads, watermarks or artificial limits.
